Shaydon Weaver
Before beginning to practice law in 2017, Shaydon earned his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. During law school, Shaydon served as a Senior Resource Editor on the Law Review and gained valuable experience working as a law student assistant in the Michigan Department of Treasury, Hearings Division, as an extern with the Kent County Office of the Defender, and as an intern with the United States Army JAG Corps. Prior to law school, Shaydon earned his Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Michigan.
After graduating law school and before joining Bloom Sluggett, Shaydon worked first as a law clerk and then as an associate attorney for a prominent Lansing area municipal law firm. There, he supported and worked to advise municipal clients on various short- and long-term administrative, zoning, and code enforcement matters and recommended courses of action to municipal officials on various issues. He also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Curt A. Benson of Michigan’s 17th Circuit Court. Shaydon was also commissioned and currently serves as a Captain and judge advocate in the United States Army Reserve.
He resides in Grand Rapids and enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially outdoors partaking in all that Michigan has to offer.
