Michelle Kitch
Michelle graduated from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor with a BA in 1980 and earned her Juris Doctorate from The Detroit College of Law in 1983. She has spent her entire career as a litigator, handling a wide range of property and casualty insurance matters.
As head of the Firm’s litigation department, she leads and oversees public sector and riparian litigation cases. For approximately 10 years, she served as National Coordinating Counsel for a Fortune 500 company. She is also an ICLE-trained facilitator and mediator, regularly serving in both State and Federal courts. In addition, she chaired the U.S. District Court – Western Division’s VFM Advisory Committee for four years and is currently on the panel of approved federal court facilitators. A court-approved case evaluator as well, she also volunteered for 10 years as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), advocating for children in abuse and neglect cases.
