Clinton earned his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan Cooley Law School in 2017, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While in law school Clinton served as a Senior Resource Editor on the Law Review and gained valuable experience interning with a local Grand Rapids law firm, as well as the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office. Prior to law school, Clinton earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Roosevelt University.
After graduating law school, and before joining Bloom Sluggett, Clinton worked as an associate attorney for local Grand Rapids law firm focusing on criminal defense, personal injury, and family law. Clinton then moved on to work as an assistant prosecuting attorney with the Muskegon Prosecutor’s office and later with the Ottawa County Prosecutor’s office. During his time as an assistant prosecuting attorney, Clinton managed and tried all levels of cases including misdemeanors, felony level offenses, juvenile offenses, and abuse neglect cases.
Clinton is a highly skilled and certified attorney with specialized expertise in the field of drug recognition. He has successfully completed the Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) training program, which is designed to provide law enforcement officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify, evaluate, document, and prosecute drugged drivers. His DRE certification underscores his commitment to delivering exceptional legal services to his clients and his unwavering dedication to ensuring the safety of our communities. With his expertise and credentials, Clinton is well-equipped to handle even the most complex cases involving drug-related offenses.
He currently lives in Allendale and enjoys spending time with his wife and children, attending sporting events, and exploring the outdoors.
